Lithographic Monday

My 3d and final project for Litho.

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun - Red, 3.75"x6.5" lithographic print on 7.75"x11.5" rice paper, 2010.

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun - Blue, 3.75"x6.5" lithographic print on 7.75"x11.5" rice paper, 2010.

Both prints are three layers each. Background is a water tusche on stone. Figures as well as the stripes layer are india ink on frosted mylar, exposed onto photoplates. I also added gold by hand.
Both backgrounds and figures are rainbow rolls.

I learned once again that it is extremely important to have good registration marks! Also exposing plates can be difficult and should be done carefully with a clear head and lots of time.
